Welcome!
My name is Leslie Leavoy, and I am a Mass Communication senior graduating in May 2013. My passion is politics; specifically, finding ways to energize my generation to voice their concerns and be active participants in the voting process.
After graduating from LSU, I plan to attend graduate school to pursue a Master's Degree in American Government, and my ultimate career goal is to be a campaign manager. It would be incredible to work for a candidate who can better my community, whether that be local, state, or nationwide. Working towards an election victory is exciting, busy and strategic, and the challenge to persuade constituents that voting for the best candidate is something I plan to undertake wholeheartedly.
I see myself as hardworking, organized, approachable, and someone who can communicate my thoughts and ideas clearly to my peers and authority figures. Coming from a small town in Louisiana, my undergraduate studies have opened my world to different perspectives and ideas; I plan to capitalize on those relationships and connections I have made at LSU. Working with a team to better a project, program or organization is one of my strengths, and I am always open to others' ideas and strategies. Being involved with an array of organizations across LSU has brought me to where I am now, and has taught me communication, organization, fundraising, and leadership skills that I can use for years to come.
My website covers my academic career and extracurricular experiences and includes an in-text resume' and downloadable version. In the upper right-hand corner, you can connect with me on Facebook, Twitter or email. If you have any questions, please click on the Contact Me page. Happy Browsing!
